Hi – I’m Dr. Ichiyama – I am a licensed psychologist and specialize working with adults and adolescents facing mood-related issues like anxiety, depression, and traumatic stress.

My general perspective is that clients seek therapy because their lives are confusing and my role in the therapy process is to help provide clarity. This can help people connect the metaphorical pieces of the puzzle and make informed life choices to find a healthful path forward.

My orientation is eclectic and integrated with a primarily cognitive-behavioral approach to address and conceptualize our work together.  I can work with individuals in either in-person or telehealth modalities. If you are seeking greater self-understanding and insight into your lived experiences, I would likely be a good fit for your needs.

I also have extensive experience in adult ADHD assessments and my professional work experiences include being a university professor and practicing psychologist in private practice, psychiatric hospitals, university counseling centers, public school systems, and community mental health settings.
