Hi! My name is Dr. Wheeler and I am a therapist in San Diego. I graduated from the California School of Professional Psychology and hold a Psy.D. in clinical psychology.

I support individuals’ personal growth by providing psychotherapy services to all adults, including college students. I prioritize creating a warm environment for clients to feel safe, heard, empowered, and free to explore their inner, most sensitive worlds without judgment. I enjoy helping clients build insight into their symptoms, explore their pasts, and deepen their relationship with themselves/others.

I utilize a collaborative, client-centered approach that weaves evidenced-based principles with an integrative, holistic approach that emphasizes a mind-body connection.

Depending on client needs, the work together may include psychodynamic therapy, ACT, relational therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and elements from AEDP. I also have been trained in and apply skills from CBT, DBT, and EFT.

I am passionate about helping individuals address issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship conflict, childhood and complex traumas, life transitions, self-work, identity development, neurodiversity, and substance misuse.

I have experience with adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I honor diversity and prioritize cultural humility.
