Hi there, I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (Registration No. 112357) working under the supervision of Audrey Barrett, Ph.D., L.C.S.W. (License No. 22802).
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. I strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for you to share openly and without judgement and I enjoy working to create personalized treatment plans using multiple evidence-based approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based interventions.
As a therapist, I am encouraging, warm, open, and direct. I combine experience, education, and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to therapy. I have a background in research and clinical therapy focusing on the LGBTQ+ community and am passionate about providing LGBTQ+ affirming therapy to the La Jolla community.
My clinical training and experience includes working with clients from various cultural backgrounds and a focus on treating depression, anxiety, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, domestic violence, sexual health, and more. Whatever you’re looking to work on in therapy I work hard to create an inclusive and welcoming environment.
I received my master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California where I was awarded the Gladys M. Salit award which recognizes excellence in the field of social work and clinical therapy. I am available for video therapy and in-person sessions Monday through Friday.
