Demi Fitzpatrick, A.C.S.W.
Associate Clinical Social Worker
Supervised by Audrey Barrett, LCSW (License Number 22802). My Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker Number is 111280.
First and foremost, I’d like to acknowledge and commend you on your endeavor to grow by seeking therapy. I understand it can feel like an intimidating process. As a therapist, I aim to hold a safe space that feels both supportive and at times challenging, but always tailored to your personal needs and expressed goals. I like to think of my role as a passenger and navigator, presenting different paths that you may consider, but ultimately you are the one in the driver’s seat.
My approach is warm, compassionate, holistic, and integrative, using various evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Dialectical-Behavioral therapy skills, and Interpersonal Therapy, among others. If you don’t understand what these are, not to worry, I will be sure to explain them as we work together. If you have any questions or concerns about anything we are doing in therapy, I love feedback and want you to feel comfortable sharing with me.
My experience as a therapist includes working with individuals who have serious and persistent mental illness, Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA+, relationship distress, and trauma. I am also certified as a Hatha yoga instructor and am an advocate for strengthening the mind-body connection.
I received my Maters of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California and my BA in Psychology from the University of California-Irvine, where I worked as a research assistant in the Sleep and Cognition Lab. Prior to this, I served four years in the U.S. Navy.
Thank you for your interest and if you have any questions or would like to book a session, I would love to hear from you!
